California dreaming

To kick off the summer me, my mom, little sisters Kennedy and Abby made our way to california to go to Disneyland! So we headed out and even though a few unfortunate events happened, like having our car break down in the pitch black in the middle of the dessert on a back road where you see 2 cars an hour! So our dear family the Burkmans(cousins and aunt an uncle) saved us picked us up and we left our car on the side of the road. Though of course it got towed. We made our way to 29 palm California the marine base where the Burkmans live So we spent a lovely but VERY hot compared to Utah Sunday with or cousins! Then the next day at the crack of dawn we continued on our journey to the happiest place on earth in the Burkmans car cause ours was in the shop with the whole engine blown. But we made it to Disney and spent two days there then went to knotts berry farm for a day, and I must say knotts is more for us big kids to play at! Then we spent one last day at Disney and I am very proud of myself we rode every ride except for dumbo and the story book boats! Plus in Disney we made a pact that we would make funny faces in the camera during roller coasters, I must say the pictures turned out pretty sweet! We drove back to 29 to our cousins and the next morning I woke up to a note saying that my mom and the girls went home and I can hitch a ride with grandma and grandpa when they come to Utah in a few days........ Okay that did NOT happen but I did stay while they left. Me, my two cousins and my aunt drive two hours to the beach and very not planned spelt there in a tent in the sand! And of course we took a little night swim, my cousin was scared that we would get caught, cause it does happen that night swimming in the ocean is not really well understood by the law, but no biggie right?! My aunt and I assured her it was fine as we fell backwards and being completely surrounded by salty bitter, yet very calm and refreshing ocean water. The next morning we woke up to donuts and root beer for breakfast, I know right health nuts. Then spent more endless hours trying to perfect the art of boggie boarding! We knew our fun was bound to end so we drove back to 29 and that night I went and slept at my grandma and grandpas so the next morning we could head on back the good old Utah. Home now and am California dreaming!
